Cypress Springs High School Octagon Club
The Cy Springs High School Octagon Club is the largest club at Cypress Springs High School. They are members of our JOOI (Junior Optimist Octagon International) program. These dedicated teenagers have a long list of projects they have worked on throughout the school year. By reaching out to their community with volunteer work they have learned Compassion, Leadership, Communication, Organizational Skills, Responsibility and begin recognizing their role in society. We support them in many different ways including scholarship programs and with other financial and time involvement. Many of the Octagon members have earned their high school letter jackets through the Octagon club! The club has raised funds for local charities such as pet shelters, Ronald Mc Donald House, National Disaster Relief Efforts World Wide and many others. They have also sent aid to Mexico in the form of decorated shoe boxes filled with personal care items for children less fortunate, given gifts of appreciation to school staff. In joint a effort with other clubs they hosted a fall festival for all the local elementary students and their families for fun and safe day of activities, joined in the HEB Thanksgiving Day parade. The list continues on....
